!! UPDATE: We got in! Thank you for your support - for updates on the game, please visit the YOUR TASK // SHOOT THINGS page!
Ever wondered why no one has ever made a psychedelic “NEVERFLAT” 2.5D shooter? You’re not alone.
Thanks to you, it just might happen.
We’re developing a side-scrolling action shooter posing our monochromatic, mangaesque ‘NEVERFLAT’ 2.5D style against 16-bit oblique-projection side-scrollers, reverently paying homage to the story and humour of beloved cult classics like the 1994 SNES RPG EarthBound.
But we don’t want to go halfway. We want a fully-developed, engaging, sustainably-funded, mind-bending experience that lets us play in the worlds YT//ST creates in its live shows.
Never the kind of art collective to show up for a fight unprepared, we’ve been readying the skills to bring a top-notch game to life. Alaska B recently completed Sheridan College’s highly competitive Computer Animation program. Lights/MIDI/Video wrangler Aylwin Lo has produced experiential prototypes and advertising products on best-in-class 3D game engines. YT//ST recently contributed to the score of the well-regarded, recently-released stealth sidescroller, Mark of the Ninja.
